Yuri Bezmenov

Yuri Bezmenov has to be one of the names most feared by the political left. A subscriber to my video channel told me that there is an attempt underfoot to delete his Wikipedia page. We will not allow him to be lost to the dustbin of history here at Male Defender. We will instead seek to keep his name alive on our page.

From Wikipedia:

“Yuri Alexandrovich Bezmenov (Russian: Юрий Александрович Безменов, also known as Tomas David Schuman; 1939 – 1993[1]) was a journalist for RIA Novosti and a former PGU KGB informant from the Soviet Union who defected to Canada.”

“After being assigned to a station in India, Bezmenov eventually grew to love the people and the culture of India, but at the same time, he began to resent the KGB-sanctioned oppression of intellectuals who dissented from Moscow’s policies. He decided to defect to the West. Bezmenov is best remembered for his pro-American, anticommunist lectures and books from the 1980s.”

Here is one of my favorite videos of him in which he tells of both his life and the nature of the KGB in the Soviet Union.

Wikipedia then describes his defection to the west: “In February 1970, Bezmenov clothed himself in hippie attire, replete with a beard and wig, and joined a tour group; by this means, he escaped to Athens, Greece. After contacting the American embassy and undergoing extensive interviews with United States intelligence, Bezmenov was granted asylum in Canada.”

“In an interview with G. Edward Griffin, he detailed how Soviet help for inciting anger and uprising in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) was the final straw in his personal decision to defect to the West. In the interview, Yuri details how USSR consulates in India were used to smuggle weapons and propaganda material to East Pakistan in a largely Soviet effort to break up the state of Pakistan, then a staunch Western and US ally.”

“After studying political science at the University of Toronto for two years, Bezmenov was hired by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in 1972, broadcasting to the Soviet Union as part of the CBC’s International Service. In 1976, the KGB compelled his departure from that position, and Bezmenov began free-lance journalism. He later became a consultant for Almanac Panorama of the World Information Network.”

This is another magnificent video that takes the form of a lecture in which Yuri fleshes out the full nature of Soviet subversion. The tactics they took will be most familiar to American leftists.

The Conservative Tree House is a great blog and there’s a fine article there that describes the four stages in which a country can be brought down by subversion.

Stage One: Demoralization – Elimination of American Exceptionalism, fundamental change of national identity, structural deconstruction of foundational principles, elimination of religion. Embedding a new societal design upon the psyche of generations through ideological academia. Peer pressure by elites upon academics and society to convince that prior values were inherently flawed, racist, prejudiced etc. National identity is diluted with aspersions toward historical references. National history is re-written, re-defined, and molded to fit the new intended behavioral model and create the new values.

Here is a link to his Love Letter to America which was written under his alias Tomas Schuman.
“Yuri Bezmenov, a KGB officer from NOVOSTI press agency who have chosen FREEDOM tells us about SOVIET GENOCIDAL COMMUNISM and how good it is to be free.”

It is vital that Mr. Bezmenov be preserved on the internet. Here’s a transcript of the interview he had with Griffin if anyone needs quotations.

Freedom Outpost’s piece on his life. Thanks to this site. “For those in my audience, this is not news. However, I think for those who have not seen or listened to the following video will be enlightened at what is taking place in America today. I ask you to consider that this video is nearly 30 years old. Ex-KGB communist defector Yuri Bezmenov details the 4 stages of a Marxist-Leninist revolution and taking over a nation.”

As long as we continue to oppose subversion of the things we choose to care about, Yuri Bezmenov, and his sterling work, lives within us.

The instant we allow the powers-that-be to decide for us what we must care about, his memory fades, and we die.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to those people who make this website and do their best to preserve the memory of Yuri Bezmenov and his legacy. As a person who was born in the former Soviet Union and lived there a big part of my life, I feel how truthful he was. I sometimes feel so desperate when I try to explain to Westerners, especially leftists, how many ideas they think as theirs, in actual practice have their roots in the communist propaganda. They don’t usually believe me because it takes different forms and camouflages itself. Yuri’s example and your wonderful job help me overcome my desperation and keep going along the path. I don’t want my children and grandchildren to live the nightmare we used to live in even though it is “socialism/communism light”.

Thank you for your work and dedication – may the words and voice of Yuri resonate loudly, profoundly and persistently in the ears of the oppressors, may it deride their delusion and be a schism in their midst, may their hearts and minds fail them miserably, may they become the subject of their oppression.

How frightening after hearing this man speak is it , especially when we see the carnage that is our university system, the PC culture, the SJW crusades, free speech rights being curtailed ,the rampant feminism, the promotion of open borders and the anti white male tradition rhetoric ! It is of absolute importance that t
his man must be kept relevant and his words listened to by the masses , if only to try and make people on the fence spouting how it is ” all the same ” realize that the left is subverting n ruining this once great country ! Great stuff Bern – I knew nothing of this man until today .

Thank you so much for keeping Yuri’s memory and work alive on your website. I have just discovered him. Never heard a mumbly word about him in school. I am 73. Does anyone know how poor Yuri died. I’m presuming that he was assassinated and it has been hushed up.

They have both already been uploaded to Archive.org, along with No Novosti News Is Good News — you can find them here. How d’you get a LaTeX version of these things, though? Did you copy the books out by hand?

I love how Bezmenov spoke about the West’s insanity — so bluntly and to the point. He was a good man.

Thanks to you all, my friends for keeping this mans news alive.
For it IS news-contemporary, every day we can see his truths and prophetic insights.
Like Sozhenitsyn and Sakharov, Bonner and Sharansky etc? A lazy west rather thought that a few burgers and a cola splash by Checkpoint Charlie would mean that the battle had been won.
And when the wall fell only a few years after Yuri had spoken, well why bother at all?

Nobody however told Islam this, not did they ever look at what Derrida, Chomsky and Soros were saying and doing-as well as all their minions and muchkins on the state payroll, media ,academia and mind massage of the liberal left in all of the culture we wallow in today,
No-Yuri needs to stay online so peole like me years down the road can get his message-truth never loses its truthiness! Thanks MaleDefender, keep it coming. Love to Trump, the Great American nation from Brexit Central.
