The Romanovs PODCAST 88

_b2b0126

How pleased I am with Simon Sebag Montefiore’s The Romanovs: 1613-1918. I would have to place this work in my Top 80 over a 47 year period. The Romanovs is outstanding! Of course, it’s not Stalin: The Court of the Red Tsar which is in my Top 20. Still, a magnificent tale. Sebag Montefiore is a historian for both the common man and the scholar. He is erudite but also a fine writer. In the podcast, I picked out many passages that elucidate female nature, but the whole work is superb. I heartily recommend it.

OPENING SONG: Perry Como – Oh holy night.

Visit Aaron Clarey at Captain Capitalism!

We’ve talked about Aaron Clarey a lot, but did I ever mention to you that he has audible versions of his books? You know his latest work Reconnaissance Man? Well, it’s now out on audible if you’re too busy to read.

You remember Bachelor Pad Economics: The Financial Advice Bible for Men right?
Well none other than Davis Aurini is the narrator for that book. That’s what I call the exacta. A daily double having Davis on there!

And that’s not all. Aaron’s classic book, Worthless: The Young Person’s Indispensable Guide to Choosing the Right Major, also features Davis the Great as narrator. Hear the audible version, enhance your mind!
