Plunder and Deceit by Mark Levin

Plunder and Deceit: Big Government’s Exploitation of Young People and the Future is a book I picked up last week on Amazon. I’m an old veteran of Levin’s outstanding radio show and all of his books (except Rescuing Sprite).

It may be Levin’s most readable book. It’s concise and I’ve already referenced it in a book I’m writing myself. Mark said he did a lot of research in order to write Plunder and Deceit, and that’s definitely the case. To me, the best chapters were the ones on immigration, social security, and education.

Statism is a false religion and Plunder and Deceit exposes state-worship for what it is…a total scam. Everything works until it doesn’t, and the “doesn’t” age is fast approaching.

The total unfunded liabilities of the United States is somewhere between 100 and 200 trillion dollars ($127 trillion sounds about right), and the young–this millennial generation–are going to have to pay for it. The bill will get higher and higher, and the one thing that is certain is that the kids of today will receive little or zero in the way of benefits from this broken system.

They’re getting screwed and they’re completely unaware of it. It’s for these youths that Mark has written his book.

Mark dubs his final chapter “A New Civil Rights Movement” and it contains few specifics which isn’t surprising because the chances of motivating these millennials to take a rational interest in their future is not likely. They are a completely propagandized and indoctrinated generation. Yes, it’s not their fault but that so many line up to say “So Sorry” for being born rather than fight the power that is the modern liberal arts cultural Marxist professor.

Levin ends by asking if the young will choose liberty or tyranny. It’s a thoughtful question. Unfortunately, the choices will not be heard by them…they’re too busy texting or playing candy crush. Their non-choice will be a decision which could spell the end of the noble American experiment. Yet let’s hope Mark Levin’s right though. Nihilism’s a waste of time, and besides, it’s trendy especially among demoralized conservatives post 2009. Let’s hope that it’s too late to save our nation. What choice do WE have?

I did two videos on his book today. Here’s part one:

Here’s part two:

The 3Ts of mental degradation: talk, text, and television.
