Dungeons & Dragons

Dungeons & Dragons was a game I played religiously as a kid. I loved it. Being a dungeon master was the first time that my creativity was recognized by others. My friends and I loved the game and everything medieval during those years. We harassed our parents to take us to gaming conventions and Renaissance Fairs. I remember winning one of the “put a dollar in with the pot” mini-tournaments and I felt like an 11-year-old Joe Montana. Despite what the media tells you…it was a great experience for me.

This caused me to pick up Dungeons & Dreamers: A Story of How Computer Games Created a Global Community after I heard an interview about a different book. The book will be of more interest to my readers/subscribers than it was to me because I have not played a video game since 1991 (TechmoBowl). The parts on videos games and violence are something I will break out into individual uploads because I know it will be of unique interest to the young men who follow Male Defender. I’ll post those videos in a separate post because I know that Dungeons & Dragons is a separate topic in their minds.
